NAMUTECH announced on the 15th that it has been selected as a joint research partner for a GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) orchestration technology development project.
According to the company, the project is led by the Korea Electronics Technology Institute and aims to develop technologies that enable efficient operation and management of GPU cluster resources tailored to AI workload characteristics.
The initiative will be carried out with a total budget of KRW 24 billion (approx. USD 18 million). NAMUTECH will participate in the detailed R&D efforts, focusing on the development of GPU resource management technologies.
NAMUTECH plans to center its efforts on developing GPU resource operation technologies designed for multi-workload environments. The goal is to improve resource utilization and reduce operational complexity in environments where AI workloads with varying characteristics run simultaneously.
In particular, the company will focus on workload-aware resource allocation and enhancing cluster operational efficiency, aiming to establish more stable and flexible GPU resource management capabilities.
Leveraging its expertise in cloud and infrastructure operations, NAMUTECH has built strong capabilities in resource management and automation across virtualization and multi-cloud environments. Through this project, the company intends to expand the application of its technologies into GPU-centric AI infrastructure.
A NAMUTECH official stated, “This project is meaningful in that it enables us to secure foundational technologies for efficiently managing GPU resources across diverse AI workload environments. Building on our accumulated experience in cloud and infrastructure operations, we will further advance our capabilities through this project and continue to strengthen our competitiveness in AI infrastructure operations.”
