NAMU Intelligence, to lead the market with the new AI based healthcare technology

NAMUTECH is dreaming of a new leap forward by signing a business agreement with Gwangju City last year, promoting the national AI business, and establishing NAMU Intelligence Corporation. NAMU Intelligence CEO Kim expressed his ambition, “We will discover a regional revenue model that has been strengthened in the AI healthcare field and become a representative company that has succeeded in the region.”

Q. Current status of cerebral infarction AI learning data building project

A. The essential thing in AI is to build the primary data for AI learning. In particular, in the healthcare field, hospitals have all medical data. It is not easy to access from outside due to personal information problems. This learning data project task is to build data so that AI companies can develop related products or services in the future.

First, Chonnam National University Hospital submitted a Request for Proposal (RFP) to the government to study brain infarction. NAMU Intelligence has joined as a company to carry out the task. Currently, we are conducting joint research with Chonnam National University Hospital and AI company’ Infinov.’

Currently, medical data is collected through procedures in hospitals, then labeled, and companies are repeating the process of creating applications such as pilot services by building AI models. Only when the learning data is established can products or services using cerebral infarction learning data emerge in the future. Since this is the process of completing the project, we plan to work on commercialization based on this.”

Q. How will brain infarction AI learning data be used in the future?

“According to the research results of the joint research team, the accuracy of the data that can predict the recent cerebral infarction is confirmed to be 98%. This means that when commercialized, it can greatly reduce the risk of cerebral infarction. Based on this, the company plans to start developing AI for cerebral infarction diagnosis. Currently, the hospital has only diagnosed and treated the disease. Now, it is advancing toward predicting and preventing diseases through patient’s daily eating habits and real-life data.”
