NAMUTECH holds its groundbreaking ceremony for M Valley R&D Center

NAMUTECH, a leading cloud company, held a groundbreaking ceremony for the “NAMUTECH M Valley R&D Center” at Magok Industrial Complex in Gangseo-gu, Seoul on the 31st of March.

The NAMUTECH R&D center, which will reflect smart city technology, is scheduled to be completed in September 2022. It will be built with a total floor area of ​​about 6000m2 on seven floors above ground and three floors below ground. Including companies that will move into the Open Innovation Center, it will accommodate up to 300 or more employees.

In line with the establishment of the R&D center, the company plans to newly recruit about 30 people, including 20 professional researchers by 2023. An additional 50 people from subsidiaries and affiliates from the Open Innovation Center are expected to occupy it.

This R&D center investment is in line with the global strategy of NAMUTECH. The company expects to promote the development and convergence of high-value-added solutions such as cloud, virtualization, artificial intelligence, and big data and secure competitiveness through joint research. Also, it plans to create synergy through active exchanges with IT, pharmaceutical, and bio companies located in the Magok Industrial Complex.

NAMUTECH CEO Chul Jung said, “The M Valley R&D Center of NAMUTECH will become the center of growth to penetrate the global cloud market.” He added, “We will maximize synergy by reinforcing communication and collaboration between R&D sectors such as virtualization, cloud, artificial intelligence, and big data.”
