NAMUTECH supports Beyond Live’s global online concert service

NAMUTECH announced on the 18th that it built a container-based cloud-native platform, ‘Cocktail Cloud’ for Beyond Live Corporation (BLC), to support stable online concert services.

Beyond Live planned the performance of SMTOWN LIVE 2022: SMCU EXPRESS @ KWANGYA to comfort and convey hope to fans around the world who are exhausted due to the prolonged COVID-19. By organizing this event in the cloud, performances, albums, and SM Entertainment provided exhibitions in a metaverse environment.

At the live concert, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, SHINee’s Onew, and NCT’s Taeil’s ‘Ordinary Day’ stage from the ‘SMCU EXPRESS (2021 Winter SMTOWN: SMCU EXPRESS)’ album, ‘Rap Unit’ NCT Taeyong, Jeno, Hendry, Yangyang and Espa Giselle’s special stage ‘ZOO’ provided a wealth of sights to see.

Beyond Live Corporation, in the streaming service of ‘SMTOWN LIVE 2022’, held this month, provided a global online concert in Japan that can accommodate up to 1 million concurrent users.

The company has implemented an environment that can be elastically scalable according to demand while transitioning its overall online content system to the cloud. They managed the entire infrastructure using Cocktail Cloud. They chose Cocktail Cloud because they evaluated that the infrastructure integration management, automated operation, and stable service were excellent.

Due to the nature of the online concert system, it is always necessary to prepare for a large increase in traffic. The existing physical method predicts the maximum traffic and configures the physical equipment in advance. This causes time and excessive resource input, and it is difficult to respond to a sudden increase in traffic during actual operation.

NAMUTECH Japan Corporation and Aconsoft supported Beyond Live Corporation’s cloud transition, integrated infrastructure management, and stable service operation by establishing a Cocktail Cloud.

Cocktail Cloud is a platform for building and operating/managing a corporate cloud-native environment. It provides functions and APIs necessary for building, distributing, monitoring, and operating cloud-native applications.
