NAMUTECH, a leading technology company, announced on the 18th that it has successfully secured a ₩7 billion contract to participate as a consortium member in the “Development of Multi-Cloud Management Platform Technology to Overcome the Complexity of Hybrid Public Cloud Utilization and Management” project.

The project, which commenced on April 1st of this year and will run for a duration of 45 months until December 31st, 2026, has been allocated a total budget of ₩7.37 billion. This initiative falls under the SW Computing Industry Core Technology Development (Cloud) project, which receives support from the Ministry of Science and ICT (Information and Communication Technology) and IITP (Institute for Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation). Notably, the project is spearheaded by the renowned Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI), with NAMUTECH joining forces alongside Megazone Cloud, Innogrid, Strato, Bespin Global, and the Korea Cloud Industry Association as joint research institutions.

NAMUTECH aims to leverage this project to develop cutting-edge M-CMP (Multi-Cloud Management Platform) technology. This innovative solution, known as Smart DX Solution, will enable the seamless integration and efficient management of diverse public cloud services provided by major domestic and global operators, effectively overcoming the challenges associated with heterogeneous cloud environments. The overarching goal is to empower businesses with large-scale data analysis capabilities while optimizing costs. By integrating AI (Artificial Intelligence) and big data technologies, NAMUTECH intends to create a truly transformative and value-driven platform.

Under the scope of this project, NAMUTECH, led by Senior Executive Hongjoon Kim, will play a pivotal role in constructing an automated framework for multi-cloud service operations and management. This will encompass critical functionalities such as inter-cloud service operation and management, inter-cloud migration, automated backup and recovery between clouds, and dynamic performance diagnostics of multi-cloud infrastructures. Furthermore, the research outcomes from this endeavor will be seamlessly integrated into NAMUTECH’s comprehensive Smart DX Solution, a leading IaaS (Infrastructure as a Service), PaaS (Platform as a Service), and SaaS (Software as a Service) management solution. This integration will enable NAMUTECH to actively contribute to enterprise and public sector digital transformation initiatives, fostering expansion and growth.

Hongjoon Kim, Senior Executive at NAMUTECH, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “Winning this prestigious contract serves as a significant milestone, solidifying NAMUTECH’s position as a leading provider of cloud platforms.” He further emphasized, “By advancing the development of a multi-cloud management platform that offers unrestricted software deployment and operation capabilities, we are dedicated to supporting businesses in their digital transformation journey. Additionally, we remain committed to spearheading the domestic and international cloud industry by promoting its activation and growth.”
