NAMUTECH won the Gimpo City eco-friendly smart city design service contract

On the 4th of April, NAMUTECH (CEO Chul Jung) said that they won the contract for the next generation smart city platform design service regarding the city development business of the 2nd District of Hyangsan, Gimpo City.

NAMUTECH entered into a design agreement for the next generation smart city platform design with Smart C&I and is expected to complete the design by the end of the year.

Both companies announced that they will apply the design to Smart City development projects starting from next year.

Among the expected overall investment of 3T KRW (approximately 2.6B USD) for the city development business of the 2nd District of Hyangsan in Gimpo City, the investment for building the smart city is approximately 300B KRW (approximately 260M USD). Gimpo City is expected to invest over 30 percent of their fund on the innovative business model development with the platform at its center.

Gimpo City, along with the city developer, appointed the city development specialized strategy as the world-class next-generation smart city.

They are planning on developing a smart city with new technologies and various business models such as cutting-edge zero energy with no increase in construction cost, fine dust control without the need of purchasing separate air purifiers, variable smart homes that adapt to changes in households and lifestyles, and autonomous and flexible parking.

NAMUTECH, with this win of platform design service, is expecting to integrate the multi-cloud platform, internet of things, big data, artificial intelligence platform, and data hub technology to design the smart city operating system.
