NAMUTECH (CEO Chul Jung) was selected as the best case of July’s Digital New Deal chosen by the Ministry of Science and ICT (Minister Hyesook Lim, hereinafter referred to as the Ministry of Science and ICT).
Ministry of Science and ICT evaluated NAMUTECH as contributing to the digital transformation of various industries by participating in the ‘COVID-19 confirmed patient information analysis system’ of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the ‘Cloud Flagship Project’ of the Ministry of Science and ICT and supplying the cloud platform ‘Cocktail Cloud.’
NAMUTECH explained that it is leading the digital transformation by supplying ‘Cocktail Cloud’ to corporate, financial, and public markets. It provided its product to Shinhan Bank, Hyundai Card, and Samsung Electronics semiconductor sector and positioned itself as a cloud platform (PaaS) company in the domestic market.
This customer acquisition led to sales. In 2019, sales were 84.7 billion won, but in 2020, it achieved 100.1 billion won, an increase of 15.4 billion won.
NAMUTECH has been actively investing in container-based cloud platform R&D before the container platform market opened in earnest in 2015 and has continuously increased its scale. The core solution of NAMUTECH is ‘Cocktail Cloud,’ which enables efficient and automated management of infrastructure through differentiated cloud-integrated operation and multi-cluster function and provides a customer-friendly user interface. ‘Cocktail Cloud’ also won the President’s Award at the 2018 ‘Korea New Software Product Awards’ for its superior technology.
Chul Jung, CEO of NAMUTECH, said, “NAMUTECH focused on research and development for the first time in Korea on container management technology. With that, we can see that the number of customers looking for ‘Cocktail Cloud’ is increasing.” He added, “We will continue to converge artificial intelligence (AI) and big data technologies and lead digital innovation by building a container management platform.”
